The new king weds Edith of Scotland, who takes the name Matilda, and the blood of Cerdic returns to the English crown.

What the record says

Henry married Malcolm and Margaret's daughter at Westminster on 11 November 1100, three months after Rufus died in the New Forest. Through her, every later English king descends from the old West Saxon house.
