Rufus crossed to Normandy in early 1091 and the brothers came to terms at Rouen. Edgar was dispossessed and expelled. Later that year, when Rufus marched on Scotland, Edgar and Robert brokered the peace between Malcolm and Rufus, and Edgar was reconciled with the English king.
